Sisters Set Free was founded by twin sisters, Vada and Susan, born and raised in Winona, Minnesota. Our story is one of redemption, restoration, and purpose.

There was a time when we both walked through addiction, brokenness, trauma, and some of life’s hardest seasons. We know what it feels like to struggle, to feel lost, and to need support, hope, and a second chance.

Today, Vada serves as a licensed chaplain, and Susan is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and licensed social worker.

Our mission is to bring hope, encouragement, mentorship, and practical support to individuals, families, and justice-involved community members through outreach, faith-based support, and community connection.

This ministry is more than a nonprofit to us — it is personal. We have lived through the struggle, experienced restoration firsthand, and now feel called to help others find healing, hope, and freedom too.
